人胰腺星状细胞


        胰腺星形细胞是胰腺中的主要成纤维细胞,负责合成和降解细胞外基质成分,促进组织修复。该细胞临近胰腺腺泡细胞、且周围有许多小胰管和血管。当该细胞活化时,它们呈肌成纤维细胞形态,分泌大量的细胞外基质蛋白,可以导致慢性胰腺炎和腺癌中结缔组织的增生。近期研究表明,在胰腺外分泌过程中,该细胞也可扮演祖细胞、免疫细胞和中介的角色。另外,该细胞还可以刺激胰腺癌扩散、抑制细胞凋亡以及促进血管生成。胰腺星形细胞是研究胰腺肿瘤形成的理想模型,可用于发展慢性胰腺炎和腺癌的新型治疗方法。

    

         Sciencell研究实验室的人胰腺星形细胞是从人胰腺组织中分离得到的,纯化后冻存,冰冻运输。每管细胞密度超过5×10^5/ml。该细胞可通过肌间线蛋白和α-肌动蛋白特异性抗体的免疫荧光鉴定。该细胞不含HIV-1、HBV、HCV、支原体、细菌、酵母菌和真菌。细胞可达15倍增。

Dear customer,
We go by population doublings, not passages. #3830 are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings under the conditions provided by ScienCell Research Laboratories. Hope that helps!
• Population doubling - two-fold increase in the total number of cells in a culture (log phase)
• Passage number - number of times that a cell population has been removed from the culture vessel and undergone a subculture

Which status are the pancreatic stellate cells in, quiescent or active status, when cells are initiated to culture?

Hello,
We do not test specifically for the activated and quiescent status. Most likely, it is mixed population with some being activated and others being quiescent. In order to make sure that the stellate cells are activated, cytokines like PDGF and TGFb1 can be used.

First of all,we all know there are two phenotypes of pancreatic stellate cells, quiescent and active phenotypes. Which phenotype are your cells in, when the cells have been cultured in vessel? Secondly, in the period of culture, is there a transformation from quiescent phenotype to active phenotype? If so, when and how were the stellate cells actived? Lastly, is there some growth facors that can be used to treat pancreatic stellate cells in order to active them?

Thank you for your question. We do not specifically activate our pancreatic stellate cells. Our pancreatic stellate cells do express smooth muscle actin and are in the proliferative state. The proinflammatory cytokines PDGF and TGF-b1 have been shown in rat to activate pancreatic stellate cells. The following paper may be helpful as it discusses pancreatic stellate cell activation:
