产品介绍

PA-1是一种人卵巢畸胎瘤细胞系,最初是从一名12岁白人女性患者的腹水(ascitic fluid)中提取的细胞建立的。这些细胞在培养时能够形成紧密相连的菌落,细胞呈现上皮细胞样形态,贴壁生长。并且在低血清浓度、低接种密度或经过5-溴-2'-脱氧尿苷(5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine)处理的条件下,能够分化形成类胚体(embryoid bodies)。

此外,PA-1细胞表达胚胎抗原PCC4,这是一种在早期胚胎发育中出现的蛋白质,但F9抗原不可检测。PCC4的表达表明这些细胞具有胚胎干细胞的特性,而F9的不表达则可能表明它们在分化过程中已经失去了某些原始的胚胎细胞特性。这种细胞系对于研究胚胎发育、畸胎瘤的形成机制以及干细胞分化过程中的分子调控机制具有重要价值。也可广泛应用于药物筛选、基因功能研究、信号通路研究、肿瘤转移机制研究以及干细胞特性研究等领域。
