JEG-3细胞系来源于人类绒毛膜癌,绒毛膜癌是一种起源于胎盘滋养层细胞的癌症。细胞表现出滋养层细胞的特性,包括产生激素的能力,如人绒毛膜促性腺激素(hCG),这对维持妊娠至关重要。该细胞是一种超三倍体、克隆来源的人类细胞系,具有上皮形态,是从 Erwin-Turner 肿瘤的 Woods 株中分离出来的,其具有致瘤性,能够形成与绒毛膜癌一致的恶性肿瘤。表达的基因:人绒毛膜促性腺激素(hCG);人绒毛膜生长激素(胎盘催乳素);黄体酮。常用于胎盘功能、癌症生物学和内分泌信号的研究。
JEG-3细胞以其侵袭性生长特性和侵袭周围组织的能力而闻名,使其成为研究滋养层肿瘤侵袭和转移机制的重要模型。此外,它们已被广泛用于研究胎盘发育的分子途径,以及滋养细胞在怀孕期间免疫耐受中的作用。细胞通常在RPMI-1640培养基中培养,并添加胎牛血清和其他生长因子以支持其增殖和维持。
特别注意JEG-3细胞系严格用于研究目的,不应用于治疗应用或体内研究。该细胞系为研究胎盘癌生物学、激素产生以及滋养细胞与母体免疫系统之间的相互作用提供了一个强大的平台。
